Our energy management systems (EMS) deliver accurate heating control with maximum efficiency to reduce energy consumption – subsequently reducing energy bills and CO2 emissions.
How does it work?
Our EMS’s performance is managed by a central control unit which is connected to highly accurate digital temperature sensors installed in each area of a customer’s site. These digital sensors are calibrated to ensure 0.1° accuracy and are designed to automatically sync with our control unit to immediately calculate the actions required to achieve and maintain the target temperature in each zone.
Additionally our EMS uses advanced optimisation software to collate all of the information, including the internal temperature and external conditions to calculate how long the heating will need to be on in order to achieve the desired temperature.
In comparison, a conventional system will simply be pre-programmed to switch the heating on and off at agreed times each day. However, our EMS factors in other variables such as varying weather conditions and human activity – for example doors left open.
All these factors work together to ensure that the heating in any one zone never goes above the target temperature. As confirmed by the Energy Saving Trust these methods can save significant amounts of money, they state that, ‘every degree you go over your target temperature adds 10% to your fuel spend’.

Synchronous Burner Control – we won The Queens Award for this
Synchronous Burner Control modulates each energy input to the heater to ensure a consistent heat output that meets demand. Unlike conventional controls, synchronous burner control constantly monitors the heat output of every heater, activating the burner only when required, to maintain a constant level of heating.
In comparison, conventional controls will simply keep the burner firing continuously as long as the thermostat is calling for heat.
Our optimisation programme is an advanced self-learning programme that calculates the necessary burn time for each heater to achieve its target temperature. Our system will also detect how long a heater takes to cool down and switches the heater off at the required time, for example at the end of the working day.
*As a self-learning tool our optimisation programme requires 2-3 weeks of operation to ‘educate’ itself about the performance of heaters throughout a site.
Digital Air Sensors
The very latest in technological design, our digital air sensors ensure accuracy to 0.1°. This high level of accuracy allows our EMS to eliminate wasted energy.
Our central panel controls all energy output, our tamper-proof settings give total control over the system but without the risk alterations made by unauthorised staff. Our energy management system’s panel is safeguarded with a PIN code, limiting access to nominated staff only.
Following the initial set up, the system can be left to manage and regulate itself. The only time that the system will need re-programming is for major changes in operational patterns such as shift changes.
Special access can be given to service engineers as and when required. Our 24/7 help desk can also assist with unplanned changes to shift patterns such as emergency overtime by issuing a ‘first aid’ code to allow additional access to staff.
