Vickers Energy Group has been accepted by the Carbon Trust for its ‘Accredited Supplier’ scheme. The scheme aims to recognise supplier’s skills and services and help businesses identify these trusted low carbon suppliers.
Vickers designs, manufactures, installs and maintains advanced energy management systems that are tailored to each customer. The systems revolutionise energy consumption, save money and improve environmental rankings.
The accreditation process involved an assessment of Vickers’ energy management system and a number of its case studies, to ensure it met the criteria of a well-designed energy efficient system.
It also included an interview with the Vickers team to find out more about the business, the product and services. The final stage was a due diligence of the business which included gathering independent customer feedback.
Vickers will be listed in the Carbon Trust directory as a recommended supplier of energy efficient systems.
David Hilton from Vickers said: “We are extremely proud of our new relationship with the Carbon Trust. It’s testament to the results our energy management systems produce for our clients– reducing the amount of energy used and reducing energy bills. We’re looking forward to working together with them to help more companies consider their carbon footprint and improve sustainability in industry.”
Myles McCarthy, Director of Implementation at the Carbon Trust said: “For many organisations the biggest barrier to implementing energy efficiency is having confidence that their supplier will deliver what was promised. By achieving Accredited Supplier status with the Carbon Trust, Vickers Energy Group has demonstrated that it consistently delivers thoughtful, high quality work for its clients.”
Vickers Energy Group was also presented with The Energy Product/Service of the Year Award for its advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS) at the recent Environment and Energy Awards 2014, adding to its substantial credentials within the energy industry.
Over the past 10 years, Vickers has reduced CO2 emissions by 2 million tonnes and has saved customers in excess of £200 million.
