Vickers Electronics was presented with The Energy Product/Service of the Year Award for their advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS) at a prestigious awards ceremony held on 2nd April 2014 at The National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. Celebrating their fifteenth year, the Environment and Energy Awards recognise industry leaders and organisations that have made a significant impact in the industry.
With 20 years’ experience and over 4500 installations across the UK and Europe, Vickers Electronics, part of the Vickers Energy Group, design, manufacture, install and maintain their Energy Management Systems (EMS). Vickers’ EMS enables organisations to accurately monitor and regulate temperature without the need for manual intervention. Managed through a single centralised control unit, the heaters work to their optimum efficiency, reducing gas consumption, money and carbon emissions.
Alison Hilton, Director of Vickers Energy Group, “We are delighted to have won the award, this achievement highlights the effectiveness of our Energy Management Systems and the dedication that we have in helping organisations reduce gas consumption whilst improving energy efficiency and overall operational performance.”
Customers such as Stagecoach, RS Components, Caterpillar and National Express are already benefiting from these savings, with National Express announcing just this week a 43% reduction in gas consumption. Over the past 10 years, Vickers have reduced CO2 emissions by 2 million tonnes and have saved their customers in excess of £200million, it’s therefore no surprise that with demand growing rapidly, Vickers is currently expanding into Europe and Internationally.
