Vickers Energy Group, which produces energy management systems and control software, has expanded its global operations and launched into the Dutch, Polish, Hungarian and Canadian markets.
The Manchester based company which has been reducing its client’s energy costs for over 20 years has been in talks with potential partners since 2013. They have now come to fruition with launches in four countries worth £500,000, and more planned for 2014.
The company designs and manufactures, installs and maintains advanced energy management systems that revolutionise its clients’ energy consumption, saving them money and improving their environmental rankings. The expansion overseas will see the manufacturing side of the business grow as all systems are exported abroad from the UK.
The new markets will be managed by Vickers’ partners in the territories, ensuring the sales teams know their client bases and understand the culture, demands and climates of each individual marketplace.
Commenting on the growth, David Hilton from Vickers said: “We’ve had plans in place to expand overseas into countries that have similar climates to the UK for a while and it’s great that they have now become a reality. It’s a clear indicator that our systems are in high demand and that they do save our clients money by cutting their energy consumption. We know that exports are an important part of a growing economy and we’re looking forward to contributing to the North West’s export market.”
Vickers Energy Group was presented with The Energy Product/Service of the Year Award for its advanced Energy Management Systems (EMS) at the recent Environment and Energy Awards 2014, adding to its substantial credentials within the energy industry.
Over the past 10 years, Vickers has reduced CO2 emissions by 2 million tonnes and has saved customers in excess of £200 million.
